Organizers – Myanmar Underwater Federation & Myanmar Dive Center

In 2017, Myanmar Underwater Federation (MUF) organized the first Ngwe Saung Beach Clean-up. With a total attendance of 80 enthusiastic participants, volunteers gathered at Ngwe Saung beach to restore the coastal ecosystem. The main mission of this campaign is to protect and raise awareness about the destruction of coral reefs and to maintain coastal ecosystem of the nature.

We, Myanmar Dive Center (MDC), proudly participated, with our staff actively involved in beach and underwater clean-up efforts. The 1^st Ngwe Saung Beach Clean-Up showed how local actions can help the environment. With community support and the involvement of MDC, MUF led the way in protecting nature. This sets a good example for future projects aimed at keeping our environment safe.
